Thomas, Keane lead Michigan State to easy win
Dec 20, 2007 - 7:21 PM PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (Ticker) -- Brittney Thomas scored 15 points Thursday afternoon to lead 24th-ranked Michigan State to a 73-35 rout of Providence.Thomas shot 4-of-6 from the floor and made all six of her free throws while also collecting four steals.
Kalisha Keane finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans (8-3), who enjoyed a 53-34 edge on the glass.
Michigan State, which raced to a 41-20 halftime lead, scored 19 second-chance points and forced 22 turnovers, winning easily despite shooting just 38 percent (20-of-53) from the floor.
Trinity Hull scored 13 points to pace Providence (8-3), which shot just 20 percent (12-of-59).
