Allen helps Notre Dame cruise past IUPUI
Dec 22, 2007 - 3:22 AM INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Charel Allen scored 12 points as No. 17 Notre Dame posted a 67-44 victory over IUPUI on Friday.Reserve Devereaux Peters scored 11 points and Lindsay Schrader had 10 for the Fighting Irish (10-1), who are off to their second-best start in school history. The 2000-01 squad began 23-0, eventually culminating in their first national championship.
Allen connected on 4-of-7 shots from the floor to help Notre Dame push a 34-27 halftime advantage out to double digits in the second half.
Jernisha Cann scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Jaguars (3-9), who have lost six straight games.
