Williamson helps Notre Dame crush St. Francis Pa.
Dec 29, 2007 - 9:26 PM SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- Erica Williamson scored a career-high 16 points and added eight rebounds as No. 16 Notre Dame crushed St. Francis of Pennsylvania, 82-39, on Saturday.Ashley Barlow scored 12 points and Devereaux Peters scored 10 for the Fighting Irish (11-1), which has won nine straight and dominated the Red Flash on the inside, outscoring them, 54-10, in the paint.
Williamson, who connected on 6-of-9 from the floor, helped Notre Dame go on a 21-6 run to close the first half, giving the Irish a 42-25 advantage at the break.
Britney Hodges scored 18 points for St. Francis (3-8), which has dropped six straight and is now 1-6 on the road.
