Pringle, North Carolina cruise by Liberty
Dec 31, 2007 - 4:08 AM CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (Ticker) -- LaToya Pringle had a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds as fourth-ranked North Carolina coasted to an 88-67 victory over Liberty on Sunday.Erlana Larkins had 15 points and Rashanda McCants added 12 and five steals for the Tar Heels, who played its last non-conference contest before they open up Atlantic Coast Conference play on Saturday against Georgia Tech.
North Carolina (13-1) led, 45-31, at the half and were up by double digits for the entire second half. The Tar Heels forced 35 turnovers by Liberty and had a 28-7 advantage in made free throws.
The Lady Flames (10-2), who had their eight-game winning streak snapped, were led by Megan Frazee, who had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
