Allen propels Notre Dame to 10th straight win
Jan 3, 2008 - 5:32 AM RICHMOND, Virginia (Ticker) -- Charel Allen scored 18 points as 14th-ranked Notre Dame cruised to its 10th consecutive victory, an 84-59 rout of Richmond on Wednesday.Ashley Barlow finished with 16 points and six steals for the Fighting Irish, who took a 40-30 lead into the break.
Devereaux Peters and Erica Williamson each added 12 points and Lindsay Schrader grabbed 10 rebounds for Notre Dame, which shot 45 percent (28-of-62) from the field and forced 28 turnovers.
Johanna McKnight and Christina Campion both had 15 points for the Spiders, who shot 42 percent (20-of-48) and were outrebounded, 40-31.
