Brereton leads Arkansas past Texas Tech
Jan 6, 2008 - 12:45 AM FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) -- Ayana Brereton scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds as No. 21 Arkansas posted an 80-57 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday.Charity Ford scored 12 points and Lauren Ervin and Whitney Jones each had 11 for the Lady Razorbacks (15-0), who completed their non-conference schedule undefeated for the first time in school history.
All five starters reached double figures in scoring and Ervin and Jones also had 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively, for Arkansas, which shot 49 percent (34-of-69) and had a 54-32 advantage in points in the paint.
Brereton connected on 8-of-15 shots from the floor for the Lady Razorbacks, who are 10-0 all-time here vs. the Lady Raiders.
Dominic Seals scored nine points and four others had eight apiece for Texas Tech, which shot 33 percent (20-of-60) en route to its season low in points.
