Morrow, Player lead Baylor past Texas Tech

Jan 10, 2008 - 4:11 AM LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Jessica Morrow and Jhasmin Player each scored 19 points as No. 8 Baylor posted a 72-67 Big 12 Conference victory over Texas Tech on Wednesday.

Angela Tisdale scored 12 points and reserve Melissa Jones had 10 and nine rebounds for the Lady Bears (13-1, 1-0 Big 12), who have won four straight and eight of nine vs. the Lady Raiders.

Morrow and Player combined to make 12-of-18 shots from the field for Baylor, which evened its record to 6-6 all-time in Big 12 openers.

The Lady Bears shot 40 percent (23-of-58) while the Lady Bears went 25-of-67 (37 percent) from the field.

Dominic Seals matched her season high with 22 points and hauled in 12 rebounds for Texas Tech (12-3, 0-1), which still holds a 46-19 all-time series lead vs. Baylor.
