Lavender guides Ohio State past Indiana

Jan 11, 2008 - 2:15 AM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Jantel Lavender scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as No. 19 Ohio State downed Indiana, 71-59, in Big Ten Conference action on Thursday.

Marscilla Packer added 17 points for the Buckeyes (12-3, 3-1 Big Ten), who overcame 19 turnovers to notch their third straight conference victory.

Ohio State committed just eight personal fouls and shot 59 percent (29-of-49) from the field while holding Indiana to 41 percent (26-for-63) shooting.

Jamie Braun scored 25 points to pace the Hoosiers (9-7, 2-2).
