Toliver, Maryland notch ninth straight win
Jan 11, 2008 - 3:38 AM CHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Kristi Toliver scored 26 points and Crystal Langhorne added 18 points and 18 rebounds as fourth-ranked Maryland breezed past Boston College, 88-61, in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup on Thursday.Although she shot 9-of-22 from the floor, Toliver did make four 3-pointers as the Lady Terrapins won their ninth straight game.
Langhorne grabbed eight offensive boards and Laura Harper added 14 points and seven rebounds for Maryland (19-1, 3-0 ACC), which opened up a 40-28 lead at the half by shooting 56 percent (19-of-34) after the break.
Carolyn Swords finished with 28 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles (13-4, 2-1), who were outrebounded, 49-32, and made just 1 of 11 of their 3-point attempts.
