Appel, Stanford rout Oregon State
Jan 11, 2008 - 7:23 AM PALO ALTO, California (Ticker) -- Jayne Appel collected 25 points and eight rebounds as seventh-ranked Stanford routed Oregon State, 81-45, in a Pac-10 Conference matchup on Thursday night.Cissy Pierce scored 10 points for the Cardinal (13-3, 3-2 Pac-10), who shot 56 percent (32-of-57) from the field, including 6-of-16 from the arc.
Appel shot 12-of-13 from the field in just 20 minutes for Stanford, which ran out to a 42-19 lead at halftime and never looked back.
Ashley Allen scored 13 points for the Beavers (8-7, 1-3), who shot just 30 percent (32-of-57) from the floor.
