DePaul stops slide with win over Providence
Jan 12, 2008 - 8:30 PM PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (Ticker) -- Caprice Smith scored 15 points as No. 21 DePaul halted a two-game losing streak with a 66-55 victory over Providence in the Big East Conference on Saturday.Felicia Chester had 13 points and five steals and Allie Quigley finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Blue Demons (12-3, 1-1 Big East).
DePaul finished 51 percent (25-of-49) from the field and held a 34-16 advantage in points in the paint.
Mi-Khida Hankins scored 20 points and grabbed eight boards for the Friars (10-5, 0-2), who committed 21 turnovers, leading to 21 points for the Blue Demons.
