Quigley leads DePaul past St. John's

Jan 16, 2008 - 5:03 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Allie Quigley scored 24 points and Caprice Smith added 14 as No. 22 DePaul needed overtime to dispatch of Big East Conference foe St. John's, 91-80, on Tuesday.

Quigley, who shot 7-of-16 from the floor, hit a pair of free throws with three seconds left to send the game into overtime.

The Blue Demons (13-3, 2-1 Big East) then outscored the Red Storm (10-6, 1-2), 14-3, in the extra session. DePaul, which had five players in double figures, was a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor in overtime.

Sky Lindsay scored 17 points for St. John's, which shot just 31 percent (14-of-44) after halftime.
