Montgomery lifts Connecticut
Jan 19, 2008 - 7:51 PM STORRS, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Renee Montgomery scored 27 points as top-ranked Connecticut remained unbeaten with an 86-49 rout of Cincinnati in a Big East Conference game Saturday.Montgomery made 7-of-11 shots from 3-point range and went 10-of-17 overall from the floor in 34 minutes.
Maya Moore added 21 points for the Huskies (17-0, 5-0 Big East), who opened a 45-25 halftime lead.
Connecticut shot 48 percent (33-of-69) and held a commanding 52-30 rebounding advantage.
Kahia Roudebush scored 16 points and Jill Stephens 15 for Cincinnati (10-7, 1-4), which shot just 29 percent (18-of-62).
