Chaney leads LSU to historic rout
Jan 20, 2008 - 11:47 PM BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Quianna Chaney scored 16 points and Sylvia Fowles added 11 as No. 8 Louisiana State routed Mississippi State, 84-31, in a Southeastern Conference matchup on Sunday.The Lady Tigers (14-3, 3-0 SEC) held the Lady Bulldogs to a paltry 15 percent (9-of-59) from the floor en route to their biggest margin of victory in a conference game in school history.
Khalilah Mitchell scored 10 points as LSU shot 51 percent (27-of-52) from the floor.
Alexis Rack embodied Mississippi State's woeful night from the floor as she scored seven points on 3-of-18 shooting.
Imesia Jackson scored four points for the Lady Bulldogs (12-6, 0-3), who trailed, 48-15, after 20 minutes.
