Naughton helps DePaul crush Cincinnati
Jan 26, 2008 - 11:28 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Deirdre Naughton scored 15 points as No. 25 DePaul crushed Cincinnati, 81-51, in Big East Conference play on Saturday.Allie Quigley had 14 points and nine rebounds and Natasha Williams added 12 and 10 for the Blue Demons (15-4, 4-2 Big East), who have won four of five and are 13-2 all-time vs. Bearcats here.
Naughton, who connected on 5-of-8 from 3-point range, fueled DePaul to a 44-23 halftime lead. The Blue Demons, who led by as much as 35, shot 45 percent (30-of-67).
Reserves Stephanie Stevens and Kristi Brogan scored 16 and 10 points respectively for the Bearcats (10-9, 1-6), who shot just 33 percent (18-of-55).
