Gipson's all-around effort propels Kansas State to win
Jan 27, 2008 - 11:29 PM STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Marlies Gipson had 21 points, 16 rebounds and five blocked shots for Kansas State en route to a 68-63 comeback win over No. 13 Oklahoma State in Big 12 Conference play on Sunday.Kimberly Dietz added 16 points for the Wildcats (14-5, 6-0 Big 12), who have won nine straight games after a 5-5 start.
Kansas State overcame a early seven-point deficit in the second half with some good shooting from the arc, hitting 46 percent (6-of-13) of its 3-point attempts over the final 20 minutes. That shooting helped the Wildcats overcome a 52-30 rebounding disadvantage for the contest.
Andrea Riley scored 34 points to lead the Cowgirls (16-3, 4-2), who have lost two straight contests.
