Tisdale's 19 points helps Baylor edge Texas
Jan 31, 2008 - 4:03 AM WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Angela Tisdale scored 19 points as No. 6 Baylor edged No. 25 Texas, 61-60, in a Big 12 Conference matchup on Wednesday.Danielle Wilson scored 11 points and Jessica Morrow added 10 for the Lady Bears (19-1, 7-0 Big 12), who have won 12 straight games to match the best start in school history with the 1975-76 squad.
Tisdale, who connected on 6-of-12 shots from the floor, helped Baylor start 7-0 in conference play for the first time in school history. The Lady Bears offset 35 percent (19-of-54) shooting with a 13-0 advantage in second-chance points.
Ashley Lindsey scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Carla Cortijo chipped in 16 points for the Longhorns (15-6, 3-4), who shot 44 percent (22-of-50) in dropping to 3-2 vs. ranked opponents this season.
