Balanced attack, turnovers help Notre Dame crush Providence
Jan 31, 2008 - 5:56 AM SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- Lindsay Schrader led five players in double figures with 15 points as No. 20 Notre Dame crushed Providence, 85-54, in a Big East Conference contest on Wednesday.The Fighting Irish (16-5, 4-3 Big East), who had 23 steals and forced the Friars to commit 29 turnovers, used a 16-0 run to take the lead for good at 23-11 with 8:20 left in the first half.
Notre Dame led by 17 points at the break and pushed the lead to as high as 64-29 with 11:15 remaining in the contest.
Mi-Khida Hankins scored 15 points to lead the Friars (11-9, 1-6), who have lost three in a row and five of their last six.
