Starks leads Texas A&M over Texas Tech
Feb 3, 2008 - 6:44 AM LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Takia Starks scored 22 points and Morenike Atunrase added 13 as No. 23 Texas A&M posted a 63-46 victory over Texas Tech in a Big 12 Conference game on Saturday night.Danielle Gant collected 12 points and 10 rebounds and La Toya Micheaux grabbed 14 boards for the Lady Red Raiders (16-6, 4-4 Big 12), who trailed by one point at halftime but outscored the Aggies, 39-21, in the second half.
Starks shot 10-of-21 from the field for Texas Tech, which outrebounded Texas A&M, 40-26.
Dominic Seals was lone scorer in double figures with 10 points for the Aggies (14-7, 2-5), who shot just 36 percent (16-of-45) from the field.
