Owens' outside shooting helps West Virginia rout Seton Hall
Feb 3, 2008 - 9:33 PM EAST RUTHERFORD,New Jersey (Ticker) -- LaQuita Owens scored 20 points and Olayinka Sanni added 19 and nine rebounds as No. 12 West Virginia cruised to its seventh straight win, 70-42, over Seton Hall in a Big East rout on Sunday.Owens made six of the Mountaineers 10 3-pointers and West Virginia scored 30 points off of 19 Seton Hall turnovers.
The Mountaineers (18-3, 7-1 Big East) led from start to finish, jumping out to a 33-16 lead at the break and the Mountaineers led by as many as 31 with 9:19 remaining.
Ebonie Williams had 10 points to pace the Pirates (13-7, 3-6), who shot 29 percent (16-of-56) from the field, including 3-of-14 from the arc.
