Hones, Wiggins lead Stanford past Santa Clara

Hones and Candice Wiggins each scored 20 points to lead No. 6 Stanford to a 96-74 victory over Santa Clara on Tuesday.Hones made 5-of-6 shots from 3-point range en route to her career high in points for Stanford (20-3), which hit a season-best 13 threes against Santa Clara.
Wiggins hit 7-of-12 shots from the field while Kayla Pedersen contributed 15 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinal.
Tracey Walker scored 23 points to lead four players in double figures for Santa Clara (16-6), which shot just 46 percent in the second half, failing to overcome a 56-38 halftime deficit.
