Purdue knocks off Ohio State

Feb 8, 2008 - 3:53 AM WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Lakisha Freeman hit the game-winning basket with 19 seconds to play, lifting Purdue to a 68-67 victory over No. 19 Ohio State in a Big Ten Conference matchup Thursday night.

FahKara Malone scored 23 points and Danielle Campbell added 18 and 11 rebounds for the Boilermakers, who rallied from a 40-36 halftime deficit.

Malone hit 5-of-7 3-pointers and added five steals and five assists for Purdue (13-10, 9-3 Big Ten).

Jantel Lavender scored 30 points for Ohio State (17-6, 8-4), including her final points that put the Buckeyes ahead, 67-66, with 57 seconds to play.
