Paris reaches new heights with double-doubles for Oklahoma

Feb 13, 2008 - 3:56 AM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris continued to be two times the charm for Oklahoma.

Paris scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her 83rd consecutive double-double as the No. 10 Sooners posted a 68-56 victory over 19th-ranked Texas A&M in the Big 12 Conference on Tuesday.

Overall, it was the 88th career double-double for Paris, surpassing the men's total of 87 held by Wake Forest's Tim Duncan. There is no established record for women.

The win was also significant for Oklahoma (18-4, 8-2 Big 12) as coach Sherri Coale collected her 250th career win - all with the Sooners.

Jenna Plumley scored 18 points and Danielle Robinson added 15 for Oklahoma, which opened up a 32-26 game at halftime by shooting 65 percent (26-of-53) after the break.

Patrice Reado had 19 points, five rebounds and four steals for the Aggies (17-7, 5-5), who were topped in points in the paint, 38-16.
