Ross leads TCU to fifth straight win
Feb 14, 2008 - 5:20 AM FORT WORTH, Texas (Ticker) -- Adrianne Ross scored 21 points and Helen Roden added 15 as Texas Christian won its fifth straight game, 73-59, over No. 21 Wyoming in a Mountain West Conference matchup Wednesday.The Horned Frogs (15-9, 8-2 MWC) broke open a close game with a 28-13 run over the final 11 minutes of the first half to take a 39-24 advantage at the break.
An 8-0 spurt midway through the second half pushed TCU's lead to 55-32 with 10:25 remaining and the Horned Frogs cruised from there.
Dominique Sisk had 16 points and Hanna Zavecz added 11 for the Cowgirls (19-4, 7-3), who shot only 20-of-58 (35 percent) from the field and have lost three of their last four games.
