Walker leads way as California wins sixth straight
Feb 17, 2008 - 12:02 AM BERKELEY, California (Ticker) -- Ashley Walker scored 24 points and Devanei Hampton added 18 as No. 9 California rolled to a 66-45 victory over Arizona on Saturday in a Pac-10 contest.Walker shot 12-of-16 from the floor and scored 12 points during a 21-6 run in the last 7:30 of the first half, leading the Bears to their sixth straight win.
Natasha Vital has a career-high 12 assists for California (23-3, 14-1 Pac-10), which shot 49 percent (29-of-59) and moved to within one win of the school record set in 1983-84.
Amina Njonkou scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Wildcats (9-16, 3-11), who have lost 12 of their last 15 games.
