Balanced effort propels Marist past Rider
Feb 17, 2008 - 10:28 PM LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Rachele Fitz had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 25 Marist past Rider, 76-46, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play on Sunday.Julianne Viani and Lynzee Johnson each added 11 points for the Red Foxes (25-2, 15-0 MAAC), who have won 15 straight contests.
Marist never trailed and held Rider to 25 percent (15-for-59) shooting. The Red Foxes also enjoyed a 38-18 advantage in points in the paint.
Janele Henderson paced Rider (7-19, 2-13) with 14 points.
