Riley tops 1,000 career points in win over Texas Tech
Mar 2, 2008 - 3:43 AM STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Andrea Riley scored 21 points as No. 19 Oklahoma State turned around a slump with a 73-54 victory over Texas Tech in the Big 12 Conference on Saturday.Overall, the sophomore Riley shot 6-of-19 from the field and converted 9-of-11 free throws en route to surpassing 1,000 career points.
Danielle Green had 16 points and 14 rebounds and Shaunte' Smith added 16 and 12 as the Cowgirls (22-6, 10-5 Big 12) halted a stretch of three losses in four games.
Holding a 32-27 lead at the half, Oklahoma State converted 19-of-25 free throws in the second half to pull away.
Maddy Brown scored 16 points for the Red Raiders (16-13, 4-11), who committed 23 turnovers.
