Texas goes on the road and stuns Oklahoma
Mar 3, 2008 - 12:26 AM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Brittainy Raven scored 16 points and Texas pulled away in the second half to post a 65-50 victory over No. 10 Oklahoma in a Big 12 Conference contest on Sunday.Erneisha Bailey scored 14 points and Carla Cortijo added 12 for Texas (18-11, 6-9 Big 12), which trailed 23-21 at the half.
The game was tied for the ninth and final time, 33-33, with 10:24 to play before the Longhorns went on a 7-0 run to take the lead for good.
Raven started the spurt with a layup and Kathleen Nash capped it with a 3-pointer that made it 40-33 with 8:25 to play.
Courtney Paris scored 17 points and had 15 rebounds and Danielle Robinson added 10 points for the Sooners (21-6, 11-4), who committed 27 turnovers that led to 22 points for the Longhorns.
