Chaney leads LSU women to rout of Ole Miss
Mar 7, 2008 - 9:33 PM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Quianna Chaney scored 17 points Friday as sixth-ranked Louisiana State advanced to the Southeastern Conference semifinals with an 80-36 rout of Mississippi.Sylvia Fowles finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Erica White added nine points and seven assists for the top-seeded Lady Tigers, who will go to the semifinals for the seventh straight season.
LSU (26-4) has won 15 consecutive contests against conference opponents. It has only lost only one contest - to No. 1 Connecticut - since falling to Middle Tennessee State on December 28.
Carla Bartee scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds for the Rebels (13-16), who shot a dismal 23 percent (14-of-62).
