Parker's 26 points lead Tennessee past Florida
Mar 7, 2008 - 11:07 PM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Wooden Award candidate Candice Parker scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds as No. 3 Tennessee posted a 92-61 victory over Florida in the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament on Friday.Shannon Bobbitt had 22 points and six assists and Alexis Hornbuckle scored 16 for the Lady Vols (28-2), who will take on the winner of the game between third-seeded Vanderbilt and sixth-seeded Auburn.
Parker, who was 11-of-16 from the floor, also added four blocks for Tennessee, which led by 15 at the break. The Lady Vols shot 55 percent (36-of-65) overall.
Sha Brooks scored 20 points and Depree Bowden added 15 for the Gators (18-13), who shot 32.5 percent (25-of-77).
