Sanni leads West Virginia in rout of South Florida
Mar 10, 2008 - 3:03 AM HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Olayinka Sanni had 20 points for No. 18 West Virginia en route to a 64-42 victory over South Florida in a Big East Conference tournament quarterfinal game on Sunday.LaQuita Owens added 14 points for the Mountaineers (24-6), who will play Louisville in Monday's semifinals.
West Virginia jumped out to a 39-15 halftime advantage due in large part to holding South Florida to 20 percent (6-of-30) shooting from the field in the first half. The lead ballooned to as many as 32 points midway through the second half.
Shantia Grace had 13 points for the Bulls (16-15).
