Mar 23, 2008 - 4:38 AM DES MOINES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Andrea Riley scored 26 points as Oklahoma State held on for an 85-73 victory over No. 14 East Tennessee State in the first round of the New Orleans Regional on Saturday.Maria Cordero scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Shaunte' Smith added 10 and 12 for the Cowgirls (26-7), who built up a 41-29 lead at the break before battling the Lady Buccaneers even in the second half.
Oklahoma State finished 44 percent (26-of-59) from the field and converted 28-of-35 free throws.
Michele DeVault scored 22 points and Latisha Belcher added 14 for East Tennessee State (21-12), which held its own with the Cowgirls on the boards, finishing one shy at 46-45.
