Wright, Louisville advance past Miami
Mar 23, 2008 - 10:44 PM BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Chauntise Wright scored 21 points with seven rebounds and four blocks as fourth-seeded Louisville cruised through its first-round matchup with an 81-67 triumph over No. 13 Miami, Ohio in the New Orleans Regional of the Women's NCAA Tournament.Angel McCoughtry finished with 20 points and eight boards and Brandie Radde added 13 for the Cardinals (25-9), who will now face fifth seed Kansas State in the next round.
Patricka Barlow dished out 11 assists as Louisville was able to overcome committing 25 turnovers by shooting 63 percent (31-of-49) from the field.
The Redhawks (23-11) were led by Amanda Jackson, who scored 22 points.
