Lucas-Perry scores 21 points as Michigan State tops Houston
Nov 26, 2006 - 11:07 PM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Houston had a bigger problem than just Victoria Lucas-Perry.Lucas-Perry scored 21 points and Aisha Jefferson contributed 17 and 15 rebounds as No. 16 Michigan State posted a 68-55 triumph against the Lady Cougars.
Lucas-Perry made 8-of-14 shots, including four 3-pointers, and Jefferson made 5-of-11 attempts as Michigan State (4-1) shot 46 percent (24-of-52) from the field.
Rene Haynes chipped in 13 points and six assists for the Spartans, who held a 41-34 lead at halftime and never trailed in the contest.
Sha'Ratta Hawkins scored 16 points and Maya Onikute added 11 for Houston (0-4), which shot just 31 percent (20-of-63) and made only 5-of-24 attempts from the arc.
