Langhorne lifts No. 1 Maryland over Marshall
Nov 30, 2006 - 3:20 AM HUNTINGTON, West Virginia (Ticker) -- Crystal Langhorne made up for No. 1 Maryland's spotty shooting.Langhorne scored 15 points and Marissa Coleman added 13 as the Lady Terrapins experienced some struggles in recording a 68-49 victory over Marshall.
Although Maryland (8-0) finished 38 percent (24-of-64) from the field, Langhorne made the most of her opportunities, converting 7-of-9 attempts. The junior center also pulled down 10 rebounds as the Terrapins finished with a 53-37 advantage on the boards.
Shay Doron had 12 points and seven assists and Kristi Toliver scored 12 for Maryland, which led throughout, grabbing a 27-point advantage with less than four minutes remaining.
Meg Withrow was the lone player in double figures for the Thundering Herd (5-2), who went 0-for-5 on 3-pointers.
