Paris records 33rd straight double-double for Oklahoma
Nov 30, 2006 - 4:11 AM BEAUMONT, Texas (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris scored 21 points and grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds and Nyeshia Stevenson added 13 points to lead No. 3 Oklahoma to a 79-44 victory over Lamar.Paris made 9-of-18 shots en route to her 33rd consecutive double-double and extended her school record to 38 in 41 career games. She is averaging 22.0 points and 15.4 rebounds in her sophomore season.
Oklahoma (5-0), which has defeated its opponents by an average of 22.0 points, won for the 19th consecutive time in regular-season play and 11th straight on the road.
Leah Rush scored 11 points and Ashley Paris grabbed 10 rebounds for the Sooners, who shot 53 percent (17-of-32) from the floor in the second half and had a 51-29 rebounding advantage.
Alexis Timpone and LaToya Carson scored 11 points apiece for the Cardinals, who committed 21 turnovers and shot 32 percent (13-of-41).
