Murphree lifts Texas Tech past Tulane
Nov 30, 2006 - 5:32 AM LUBBOCK, Texas (Ticker) -- Jordan Murphree scored 14 points as No. 23 Texas Tech raced to a big lead en route to a 77-50 victory over Tulane.Murphree made just 4-of-10 shots from the field but all six of her free throws in 23 minutes.
Alesha Robertson and LaVonda Henderson added 13 points apiece for the Red Raiders (6-1), who built a 38-22 halftime lead and cruised thereafter.
The Red Raiders held the Green Wave to 27 percent (15-of-56) shooting and forced 25 turnovers.
Jami Montagnino scored 10 points to lead the Green Wave (5-2).
