Cook, Texas dominate in win over Southern
Dec 1, 2006 - 3:35 AM AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Aubrey Cook scored 15 points as No. 25 Texas obliterated Southern, 71-23.Tiffany Jackson had 11 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Longhorns (6-1), who held a commanding 27-7 advantage at halftime and never looked back.
Diedra Jackson scored 10 points to lead Southern (0-5), which shot just 24 percent (9-of-37) - including a pitiful 2-of-18 in the first half.
Texas held a 35-23 rebounding advantage and forced 32 turnovers, including 10 by Ashley Blake, who also missed all 10 of her shots.
Brittainey Raven collected seven points, six rebounds and five steals for the Longhorns.
