Wilson, Fresno State upset Texas Tech
Dec 2, 2006 - 8:25 AM FRESNO, California (Ticker) -- Tierre Wilson led Fresno State to an impressive upset.Wilson scored 20 points and Chantella Perera added 17 as the Bulldogs picked up a surprising win over 23rd-ranked Texas Tech, 74-65.
Jenny Thigpin collected 10 points and eight rebounds for Fresno State, which shot 43 percent (27-of-63) from the field.
Wilson shot 7-of-13 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from the arc, and 3-of-4 from the foul line. She sparked the Bulldogs, who shot 46 percent (16-of-35) in the second half.
Perera was 6-of-16 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line, while grabbing eight boards.
Erin Myrick scored 21 points for the Red Raiders, who shot 40 percent (25-of-63).
