Lindsey leads Texas to easy win over Texas-Pan American
Dec 7, 2006 - 3:32 AM AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Ashley Lindsey decided to hold a block party.Lindsey blocked six shots as No. 22 Texas coasted to a 75-44 victory over Texas-Pan American.
Led by the 6-4 Lindsey - the tallest player on the Longhorns - Texas blocked a season-high 10 shots and held the Lady Broncs to 29 percent (15-of-51) shooting. Lindsey also scored 15 points.
Tiffany Jackson scored 21 points and Erika Arriaran 19 for Texas (7-1), which held a 32-22 halftime lead before pulling away over the final 20 minutes, when it shot 64 percent (16-of-25).
LaKeisha Gray scored 15 points and Aleeya Grigsby contributed 11 for Texas-Pan American (3-7), which also committed 24 turnovers.
