Paris powers Oklahoma to easy win
Dec 10, 2006 - 11:24 PM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris is making double-doubles look routine.Paris scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead No. 3 Oklahoma to an 82-47 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
It was the 36th consecutive double-double for the 6-4 sophomore center, who dominated the undersized Golden Lions, who didn't have a player taller than 5-11.
Paris finished 12-of-13 from the field in helping Oklahoma (8-0) extend its regular-season winning streak to 22 straight games.
The Sooners outrebounded the Golden Lions, 46-24, and enjoyed a hefty 54-12 advantage in points in the paint.
Jenna Plumley and Nyeshia Stevenson had 12 points apiece for Oklahoma, which shot 60 percent (35-of-58) from the field.
Delores Hughley led Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-7) with 15 points.
