Wilson leads No. 9 Baylor to easy win

Dec 14, 2006 - 4:51 AM WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Baylor had Arkansas-Pine Bluff looking up the whole game.

Freshman Danielle Wilson scored a career-high 24 points to power No. 9 Baylor to a 100-48 victory over the Golden Lions.

A 6-3 forward, Wilson hit 11-of-14 shots and grabbed nine rebounds to help the Bears to a dominating 44-19 advantage on the backboards over the Golden Lions, who have just one player over 6 feet on the roster.

In winning its seventh straight game, Baylor (10-1) outscored Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 64-14, in the paint and had a 21-0 edge in second-chance points.

Jhasmin Player scored 16 points and Rachel Allison added 13 and 10 rebounds for the Bears, who shot a torrid 62 percent (41-of-66) from the field.

Delores Hughley scored 22 points for the Golden Lions, which committed 31 turnovers in falling to 0-8.
