North Dakota State runs past South Dakota 38-16

Sep 26, 2010 - 3:03 AM FARGO, N.D.(AP) -- D.J. McNorton rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns and North Dakota State ran away from South Dakota in the second half for a 38-16 victory Saturday night.

Brock Jensen threw for a score and ran for another and Warren Holloway caught three passes for 109 yards and a TD for the Bison (3-1).

Dante Warren led the Coyotes (2-2) with 83 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

North Dakota State took command in the third quarter after trailing 13-7 at halftime. McNorton scored on a 53-yard run while Jensen found the end zone from 1 yard out and connected with Holloway on a 58-yard touchdown pass.

After a field goal by South Dakota made it 28-16 early in the fourth, McNorton put the game away on a 21-yard TD run with 8:52 remaining.
