Coastal Carolina beats Presbyterian 35-7

Oct 16, 2010 - 10:23 PM CLINTON, S.C. (AP) -- Zach MacDowall passed for three touchdowns and ran for another as Coastal Carolina beat Presbyterian 35-7 on Saturday.

MacDowall completed 11 of 21 passes for 204 yards and rushed 11 times for 97 yards as the Chanticleers (2-4) took a 28-0 lead.

MacDowall threw a 7-yard pass to Trae Long for Coastal Carolina's first touchdown, rushed for a 16-yard score, then threw touchdown passes of 26 yards to Matt Hazel and 13 yards to Jamaul Boswell. Marcus Whitener scored the Chanticleers' final touchdown on a 27-yard run.

Myron Gary scored for the Blue Hose (0-6) on a 2-yard run.

Coastal Carolina had 430 yards total offense to Presbyterian's 332, and the Chanticleers intercepted three passes.

Trandon Dendy was Presbyterian's leading rusher with 80 yards on 19 carries, and Ryan Singer completed 10 of 14 passes for 133 yards.
