Central Connecticut State runs over Wagner 38-20

Oct 30, 2010 - 7:36 PM NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) -- Everette Benjamin carried 25 times for 104 yards and two touchdowns to lead Central Connecticut State over Wagner 38-20 on Saturday.

It was Benjamin's fourth straight game over 100 yards and his fifth this season.

Chris Tolbert also rushed for two touchdowns for the Blue Devils (6-2, 5-0 Northeast Conference), who picked up 220 of their 297 yards of total offense in the first half.

Quarterback Gunnar Jespersen was 13-for-22 for 143 yards and Josue Paul returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Wagner (4-4, 2-3) was led by quarterback Nick Doscher's 64 yards and two touchdowns rushing and 112 yards passing for another score. The Seahawks were their own worst enemy, committing 12 penalties for 123 yards.

Central Connecticut State plays next week at Robert Morris, the only other team unbeaten in conference play.
