Western Illinois routs Illinois State 65-38

Oct 30, 2010 - 10:58 PM MACOMB, Ill. (AP) -- Matt Barr threw six touchdown passes and ran 38 yards for another as Western Illinois routed Illinois State 65-38 on Saturday.

The Leathernecks (6-3, 4-2 Missouri Valley) led 35-14 at halftime after Barr's touchdown run with 1:42 remaining in the second quarter. Barr finished 22 of 25 for 452 yards.

Lito Senatus caught seven of Barr's passes for 210 yards and two scores. He also ran 12 yards for a touchdown, and Terriun Crump and Drew Helt each caught two touchdown passes. Western Illinois scored at least two touchdowns in each quarter.

Matt Brown threw three touchdown passes for the Redbirds (4-5, 3-4), but two came in the fourth quarter when the game was out of reach. Tyrone Walker hauled in scoring passes of 58 and 31 and finished with nine catches for 178 yards.
