James, Oregon handle Washington
Nov 6, 2011 - 6:32 AM Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - LaMichael James carried the ball 25 times for 156 yards and a touchdown, as the sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks handled the Washington Huskies, 34-17.Darron Thomas completed 13-of-25 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown for the Ducks (8-1, 6-0 Pac-12), who have won eight in a row since losing their season opener to now top-ranked LSU.
Kenjon Barner carried the ball 10 times for 41 yards and a score. David Paulson caught three passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Keith Price connected on 24-of-35 passes for 143 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Huskies (6-3, 4-2), who have lost eight straight against Oregon.
Chris Polk carried the ball 24 times for 80 yards and caught six passes for 31 yards. Kasen Williams hauled in six passes for 79 yards and a score.
Oregon's defense came up with a big play early on. Eddie Pleasant picked off Price and returned the ball 16 yards to the Washington 38. Just three plays later, James recorded an 18-yard rushing TD.
The Huskies got on the board after Thomas fumbled the ball. Erik Folk's 42- yard field goal cut the gap to 7-3 with 7:17 to go in the first quarter.
Alejandro Maldonado responded with a 40-yard field goal for Oregon to make it 10-3.
Pleasant intercepted Price again early in the second quarter. Paulson caught a four-yard TD pass to give the Ducks a 17-3 edge with 10:10 left until the half.
Michael Hartvigson kept it close with a one-yard TD catch with 30 seconds remaining, cutting the gap to 17-10.
The margin was the same following touchdowns from Barner and Williams early in the third quarter.
A 34-yard catch by Paulson on 3rd-and-9 led to a nine-yard De'Anthony Thomas touchdown run, which gave Oregon a 31-17 edge with 6:05 left.
Maldonado made a 35-yard field goal with 1:49 left in the third to account for the final margin.

Washington still owns a 58-41-5 series advantage over Oregon..Oregon's current eight-game winning streak is the longest by either team in the history of the series...Oregon has won 18 straight conference games, which is the longest streak in the Pac-12...Washington fell to 5-1 at home this season.
