Chattanooga knocks off Presbyterian 29-13

Sep 19, 2009 - 10:03 PM CLINTON, S.C.(AP) -- Bryan Fitzgerald rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns to lead Chattanooga to a 29-13 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday.

Fitzgerald, who had 22 carries, scored on a 15-yard run in the second quarter to give the Mocs (2-1) a 16-10 halftime lead. He capped the scoring with a 27-yard, fourth-quarter run.

Chattanooga's B.J. Coleman was 16 of 29 for 224 yards and two touchdowns. He hit Chris Pitchford on a 3-yard scoring pass and threw a 20-yard touchdown to Terrance Davis, who finished with three catches for 76 yards.

Ryan Consiglio led Chattanooga with 12 tackles, a sack and an interception that set up the Mocs' first field goal.

Brandon Miley was 16 of 27 for 194 yards for Presbyterian (0-3).

The Blue Hose led 10-3 on Trandon Dendy's 1-yard run before Coleman hit Pitchford to tie the score at 10.
