SFA nudges Central Arkansas 33-30

Oct 18, 2009 - 3:40 AM CONWAY, Ark.(AP) -- Freshman kicker Evan Engwall nailed a 35-yard field goal with three seconds left on the clock to give Stephen F. Austin a 33-30 victory against Central Arkansas on Saturday.

Engwall's game-winner marked his second field goal in the fourth quarter. Earlier, he made a 19-yarder.

SFA sophomore quarterback Jeremy Moses tossed three touchdown passes, making him the school's leader with 66 career TD passes.

He connected with Aaron Rhea on a 14-yard scoring pass in the first quarter and on a 12-yard TD pass in the second quarter. Moses also linked up with Gralyn Crawford on a 23-yard TD pass in the third. Moses completed 29-of-40 pass attempts for 320 yards.

The Lumberjacks moved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Southland Conference play, while Central Arkansas slipped to 4-2 and 1-1.

The Bears tied the game at 30-30 with 59 seconds remaining when Preston Echols scored on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Robbie Park.
