Eastern Kentucky defeats Southeast Missouri 20-6

Oct 31, 2009 - 10:19 PM RICHMOND, Ky.(AP) -- C.J. Walker rushed for two touchdowns to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 20-6 victory over Southeast Missouri on Saturday and give the Colonels a winning Ohio Valley Conference record for the ninth straight year.

Eastern Kentucky rolled up a season-high 183 yards rushing as Walker contributed 81 yards on 22 carries. He scored on a 9-yard run in the first quarter and a 1-yarder in the second to give the Colonels (5-3, 5-2) a 13-0 halftime lead. Bruce Friesen sealed the win with a 28-yard touchdown with 4 seconds left to cap a 60-yard drive that ran 4:01 off the clock.

The Redhawks (1-7, 0-6) scored their lone touchdown on a 17-yard pass from Matt Scheible to Walter Peoples with 4:05 remaining.

Henry Harris had 83 yards rushing on 18 carries for Southeast Missouri, which has lost seven in a row since winning its season opener 72-3 against Quincy, an NAIA school.
